This opening day will feature insightful case studies on the most significant strikes in 2023 from the frontlines of labor.

On Nov. 30, the convention will delve into the tools and technologies shaping the contemporary labor movement. A featured panel on the Delta Air Lines organizing campaign and breakout workshops on topics like the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA) for Union Communicators and Paid Digital Media will provide valuable insights to attendees.

The final day, Dec.1, will explore the post-pandemic dynamics of the labor movement with a featured plenary on "Labor Communications and the Left."

The convention will also include the ILCA Labor Media Awards Luncheon, celebrating outstanding achievements in labor communications.

“This convention is a crucial platform for labor communicators to strategize and equip themselves with the tools necessary to navigate the challenges and opportunities of the evolving labor landscape,” said ILCA President Chelsea Connor. “This convention will empower labor communicators with strategic insights and essential tools to adeptly navigate the dynamic terrain of the evolving labor landscape. It fosters resilience, innovation, and solidarity in facing challenges and seizing opportunities that shape the labor movement's future.”

In addition to workshops on digital organizing, media relations, and social media, the convention will feature a special session on “Where are We and Where are We Going? The State of the Labor Movement Across North America.”

Labor communicators, journalists, and advocates will have this unique opportunity to engage with industry leaders and contribute to advancing labor communications.
